Ursula Kohler
Founder and Director


Ursula is challenge driven, and thrives in busy environments.  With over 20 years’ experience as an EA/PA, Ursula has worked with and supported some of Australia's most recognised and rewarded individuals.

Ursula has provided crucial support to politicians, boards and government department heads during some intense periods during her career, earning a reputation for resilience and as an EA that can “handle the heat”. She has an exceptional capacity for organisation, multi-tasking, and prioritising, and is passionate about providing the highest levels of customer service.

Ursula understands just how vital an effective EA can be for their manager and their organisation.  She is passionate about encouraging other EAs to understand their organisation, nurture relationships in and outside the business, learn and develop, and cultivate a “can do” attitude. This was one of the reasons Ursula started Capital EA.

With a love for teaching and sharing her experiences and knowledge Ursula's EA tailored workshops are inspiring and relevant to EA's no matter what point in their career they are at. Ursula's one-on-one coaching sessions are like no other. She helps Executive Assistants tackle the challenges facing them in their current role, and builds their confidence and know-how. Ursula finds working with Executive Assistants who are keen to capitalise on their amazing skills incredibly rewarding.

Born in Canberra, Ursula is the youngest of six children. Ursula completed a Diploma of Business Management in 1992. She has lived on the Sunshine Coast and prefers Canberra (!) is married with one daughter, three mini dachshunds, and an Indian ringneck parrot.

Sarah Walter
Senior Manager - Recruitment and Marketing
Bookkeeper


Sarah loves a challenge and enjoys working hard to meet strict deadlines. With over 16 years’ experience in private business she knows what it takes for a small business to succeed. From the first point of contact to the end of a sale, Sarah has developed processes and procedures to ensure her customers’ expectations are exceeded, not just met.

Sarah has supported doctors and allied health professionals while managing an administrative team. She understands the importance of clear communication, time management and the ability to multi-task. During her time running two medical clinics she developed and honed her impeccable customer service skills. She would not hesitate in going the ‘extra mile’ for her clients.

Whilst working full time, Sarah obtained her Advanced Diploma in Business Management and went on to achieve a Graduate Certificate in Practice Management. She has over 10 years’ experience as a bookkeeper using MYOB and XERO. Her experience combined with her professionalism and qualifications make her an asset to Capital EA. Sarah is now our Senior Manager in Recruitment and Marketing. Sarah has grown up in Canberra and is married with three beautiful children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing netball and is learning to sew.

Catherine MacGregor
Communications Specialist


Catherine has an extensive background over 20 years of providing high level, strategic support to executives, national boards, committees and secretariats across the corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors.

Highly self-motivated and results driven, Catherine understands the essentials of superior client service and the importance of anticipating and meeting clients' needs.

Catherine has successfully supported senior executives, secretariats and national committees throughout her career, drawing on her highly developed administration, organisational and project management skills.  She has a professional and flexible approach, and enjoys applying her creative and problem solving skills in the workplace.

Catherine has lived and worked in Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne, and now shares a beautiful beachside home on the South Coast of New South Wales with her husband.

Ciana Kohler
Client Service Assistant


Ciana has a creative eye, so took to creating lots of eye catching social media for us and our clients! She has remastered and made over many an Instagram account and supports Capital EA and its clients in ensuring their social media accounts both look good and spread the word effectively.

Her ideas on content, platforms, and hues is mastery and we're positive she will continue to do this well into her long-term career as a Paramedic.

In her spare time, you will find Ciana studying a Diploma of Paramedical Science, caring for her many pets which consists of two horses, three dachshunds, one putty tat, and one ring neck parrot!

Clare Lopez
Client Service Manager

Clare is highly focused on providing exceptional customer service to every client. With over 15 years of experience in customer service in both the private and public sector, Clare has developed skills which enable her to quickly build effective relationships in order to achieve the desired results for both her employer and the client.

Clare has worked in front line retail roles for national insurance and energy companies; as an Executive Assistant to Government Senior Executives; as a secretariat officer for a Federal Government Board; and in service delivery roles for the Federal Government.

Originally from Canberra, Clare has recently relocated her young family to Sunny Queensland. Clare provides all her business support virtually, allowing her to live her dream of being a present parent and while also achieving personal success.

Suzanna

Suzanna Hatch
Board Secretariat

Suzanna has over 30 years experience working at Federal and State levels of government, in volunteer organisations, private sector and running her own business. Suzanna’s main focus is delivery and is outcomes focussed, she is an influencer and has contributed where required to manage change in organisations, she has a high level of energy and passion to see things to their completion.

Suzanna’s areas of speciality are leadership, team building, personality profiling, values, vision and missions development, business planning, performance management, contracts and procurement, business process management and risk management.

Suzanna is a professional coach, covering group, leadership and executive coaching. She has also completed the Neuro-linguistic Programming training and meta dynamics profiling.

Suzanna recently joined the Capital EA team to provide high-level executive support to our clients.

Susan McCann
Board Secretariat

Susan’s passion is to provide exceptional administrative support to the client. With over 37 years’ experience in the Australian Public Service, as a program/project director/manager. She has experience in delivering the outcomes and results for the client to a extremely high standard.

Susan has extensive leadership and management experience and has a proven track record in mentoring women in leadership programs in Canberra. Susan has experience as a board member as well as performing secretariat roles. She currently holders the Vice-President position on the board of the local non-profit organisation Rise Above – Capital Regional Cancer Relief.

Born in Sydney and moved to Canberra in 1974, Susan is the middle child of five children. Susan completed a Masters in Management in 2004 majoring in Project Management. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering in the community, swimming and cycling which keeps her fit and healthy.
